Cory Morrow brought his phenomenal lead guitarist John Carroll to Freiheit Country Store in New Braunfels on April 21st for Freiheit's Thursday music series to play an acoustic show. Angie Keilhauer from the current season of The Voice and Zach Nytomt opened the show to a pretty substantial Thursday night crowd. As hard as this is to believe, this was my first time to see Cory Morrow live! He was one of the first "local" artists I really liked and started to explore his music quite a few years ago, but when I immersed myself in all the music that the "Wurstplex" has to offer, I drifted from some of those in my original list and never made it to a show. He's very talented and entertaining, and paired with John Carroll's sometimes blistering but always tasty guitar licks, you can't go wrong!
