Tornados Invade Wurstfest Craft Beer Festival

The Texas Tornados, that is! Ten days of Wurstfest isn't enough, people needed another chance to salute one of the main staples of German cuisine, BEER! For the last 54 years, locals as well as people from all over the globe have enjoyed German heritage including music, food, beer and more! This year a new and hopefully annual festival was added, celebrating a drink that may not have been invented in Germany, but it was certainly embraced, enhanced and celebrated there for a LONG time. They put together a fantastic line up of music for the day, starting with The Groove Hounds, Tom Gillam's Kosmic Messengers, Two Tons of Steel then finally THE TEXAS TORNADOS!

Among the many craft brewers on hand, Pedernales Brewing Company was there with their Robert Earl Keen Honey Pilsner, Lobo Negro Dark Lager, Select Hefeweizen Wheat on tap and Lobo Lito Lager bottles in the tasting area.

I was unable to attend, but I was able to get a few photos from friends.
