Nashville, TN – (April 23, 2015) – Award winning singer/songwriter Wade Bowen will host his 17th Annual Bowen Classic celebrity golf tournament and concert benefiting the Bowen Family Foundation on May 31st & June 1st, in Bowen’s hometown of Waco, TX.
The 2-day event kicks off with an all-star concert on Sunday May 31st at Indian Spring Park (100 University Parks Drive between Franklin and Washington Ave) with concert gates opening at 2:00 PM featuring Bowen and friends including the originators of the Red Dirt sound the Great Divide, Cory Morrow, Charlie Worsham, Stoney LaRue, Dirty River Boys, Sean McConnell, Sam Riggs, Mike Ryan & Haley Cole. Ted Nugent will also be making a special appearance performing the Star Spangled Banner. This year the headlining duo will be an exciting surprise to all in attendance. The duo has been together for over 30 years and has had numerous hits on both the country and pop charts. Additional artists announcements will be made mid May. We are so honored to have Jeff Kyle as our guest this year representing the Chris Kyle Foundation. The event resumes the next morning at 11:00AM with a SOLD OUT two-man golf scramble at the beautiful Cottonwood Creek Golf Course (5201 Bagby, Waco, TX).

Bowen has raised over a million dollars for various local organizations in need in the past 5 years. Proceeds benefit the Bowen Family Foundation and this years event beneficiaries are Avance and the Boys and Girls Club of Waco.
