When country music was becoming a thing, it was songs about every day struggles with things that most normal people could identify with, and a few songs about other real things like screwin' up and gettin' throwed in the hole. It was music about real life. There are definitely some great songwriters still out there that are keeping with the spirit of writing about real life, among them is Charlie Harrison of Charlie and the Regrets.Charlie has a new album "Rivers in the Streets" coming out on Friday, February 24th. These are songs about the struggles of life, the ups and the downs (mostly the downs), sort of a "what to expect when you're expecting a hard time" guide.
You can see Charlie and the Regrets live the day before their official release date on Thursday, February 23rd at Superfly's Lone Star Music Emporium in San Marcos for a CD release show at 6pm! Go meet the band, hear them perform this new music live, and pick up a copy while enjoying some free beer!
