One Year Anniversary

On October 4, 2012 I registered the domain musicofnb.com and started this blog. By that time I knew I was going to post the occasional cell-phone video of a live show, and post live, weekly music schedules; but I wasn't sure what else I would do here. I sort of set a personal goal to have 200 to 300 local followers on Twitter or "likers" on Facebook at some point, so I could feel like a few people were getting some use and tangible benefit out of my hobby. I had NO idea that at one year I would have nearly 1000 people that have liked my Facebook page and nearly 2500 followers on Twitter. But still, here we are, and somehow I've managed to faithfully keep up with the weekly live music listings and daily Facebook and Twitter posts. Changes in my work schedule starting about 6 months ago has regretably caused me to not be able to make it to live shows locally very often. However, I have been traveling regularly and have found some wonderful opportunities to meet musicians from other areas, some that never or rarely make it to our area. I hope this will begin to bring more wonderful talent our way, and enrich our already mind-blowing live music experience here.

THANK YOU to each and every one of you that have been so supportive over the last year, and I can't wait to see what this next year brings!

FYI, if your favorite local music venue isn't listed here, encourage the manager/owner/whatever to contact me on Facebook or Twitter, I do this free of charge to venues and musicians, and I'll GLADLY add more venues to my normal list.
